Pull For A Reason: 2007 Tug of War Challenge

SPICE presents its 1st annual Tug of War Challenge 2007 fundraiser featuring S.P.I.C.E.'s Velvet Rope Team vs. Affirmations. Your support will enable this local group to continue providing discussion groups, workshops, outreach to sisters of color, as well as offer support to domestic violence programs. We are currently seeking 20 ladies plus 5 substitutes to be participants. Participation is on a first to register basis. S.P.I.C.E. is a 501 (c) (3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Lunch will be provided for participants. Minimum age is eighteen (18). DEADLINE to REGISTER is 06/16/2007.

An organization designed to improve the quality of life for African American Gay Men. This is your invitation to be a part of Men Empowered (M.E.), an empowerment group specifically for African American gay men. The goal of M.E. is to fill a void not addressed by existing support groups for African American gay men, issues covering many of the concerns that African American gay men experience in their everyday lives.

Poz-D Group of Michigan

Any H/A agency, community based organization, yahoo group, or any one PLWH/A (only that are GAY/SGL/MSM) is invited to attend the local Positive Dialog Social Group of Michigan. POZ-D is a Social Group acting as a tool in psychosocial formed to promote/build self awareness, more personal base education in a safe space for positive/in-depth discussions about the latest treatments, research, coping methods and lastly learning different techniques in developing healthy relationships with other men. Empowerment is a essential therapeutic tool that'll be illustrated amongst the men of this group and host of different activities such as bowling, night out at the movies, "taste fest weekend", group trips, educational workshops & conference networks.
